   1 John 1

   1That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

   2(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

   3That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

   4And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

   5This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

   6If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

   7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

   8If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

   9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

   10If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

   That is, of course, referring to all having sin and needing a Saviour to deliver them from their sins. The false-christian cults will use those verses to try to justify the ongoing sin in their lives.
   
   1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
   9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
   
   Real Christians have sin in their past but not in their present. The false-christians have no real power over sin so they wallow in it and try to justify it.
   
   Attendum: It turns out that the false-christian was also attempting to defend his polytheism, his belief that "Father" and "Son" are separate gods in a Roman god squad. Of course, the false-christian polytheists don't seem to realize that when they attempt to defend their polytheism, they also CONFIRM their polytheism.

   Your "Devil Alert" is a breath of fresh air. I must say, it is getting harder and harder to find Christians who believe that there is only 1 god these days. Trinitarianism has become popular, and is preached by those who are willing to totally throw out half the bible simply to justify their own lack of understanding. I attend one of the few Maine churches that actually preaches that Christ is Lord, and actually invites people to read it for themselves.
   
   How hard is it to understand that the "Name" of the Father, the Son, and The Holy Ghost, is Jesus Christ. Father, Son, & Holy Ghost are merely discriptions, not names in themselves. There is only 1 name by which men must be saved, and that is the name of Jesus Christ. How many "I am" statements must God make before people stop saying he's 3 or more people?
   
   I truly hope your faith is sincere. Unfortunately, there are also a few devils out there who pretend to be montheists on forums just to discredit and make fun of us, solidifying the trinitarian and dualist beliefs.
